360 Winged Sprint Rules/2013 Season

MUFFLERS ARE MANDATORY/RACECEIVERS MANDATORY

Section 1: General:

1.1 USCS or ASCS rules apply, except specific rules below.

Section 2: Safety:

2.1 RIS general safety rules apply.

Section 3: Bodies:

3.1 Hydraulic wings will be permitted.
3.2 One inch (1") wicker bill permitted on top or nose wings.

Section 4: Frame:

4.1 ASCS rules apply.

Section 5: Roll Cage:

5.1 ASCS rules apply.

Section 6: Firewalls:

6.1 ASCS rules apply.

Section 7: Wheels/Tires:

7.1 Hoosier Racing Tires on all 4 corners. Right Rear Hoosier Racing Tire, 105x16.0-15 Medium.

7.2. Beadlocks recommended on all wheels.

7.3. Maximum right wheel width is 18-inches, maximum left rear wheel width is 15 inches.

7.4. Left Front is the only tire you can run flat.

Section 8: Brakes:

8.1 ASCS rules apply.

Section 9: Suspension:

9.1 Safety strap must be affixed to drag link.

Section 10: Rear End:

10.1 ASCS rules apply.

Section 11: Battery & Electronics:

11.1 ASCS rules apply.

Section 12: Cooling System:

12.1 ASCS rules apply.

Section 13: Fuel System:

13.1 Methanol or Ethanol only. No Nitro or additives allowed.
13.2 Fuel subject to be checked anytime by track officials. Fuel samples may be taken for analysis and winnings may be withheld until results are known. Penalty for fuel infraction will result in forfeiture of all points and winnings won during event detected.
13.3 Fuel cell securely mounted with bladder mandatory for all events.
13.4 Tank used for qualifying heats must remain for all events.

Section 14: Engines:

14.1 All American Sprint Car Series (A.S.C.S.) engine rules apply. AIRFLOW RESEARCH USCS 360 cubic inch SPEC heads are legal. Airflow Research USCS 360 SPEC heads may not be altered from factory box stock in any way in the intake or exhaust runners. Clearance work in the combustion chambers for piston domes etc. is okay, but no porting or polishing may extend past the valve seat ring into the runners.

Section 15: Weight:

15.1 Cars must weigh a minimum of 1,475 lbs. after race with the driver in the car, and no fuel added.
15.2 No bolt-on weight allowed.

Section 16: Mufflers:

16.1 Schoenfeld part#112535 OR part#14272735-78 allowed.

Section 17: P&G/Teardown

17.1 All participants are subject to a P&G test at anytime. Failure to comply with this rule will result in automatic disqualification, loss of money and points for that night. If a driver/owner refuses to the inspection before the car is allowed to compete again the car/engine will be inspected (inspection may include a engine teardown).

Section 18: Protest/Post-Race Inspection

18.1 $1000 for the top half of engine. $1500 for complete engine.

18.2 Track does NOT pay for labor or materials associated with teardown for inspections.

18.3 Protest must be submitted to the race director or track official within 10 minutes of feature completion (drop of checkered flag) for this class and before the top 5 cars and drivers are released from the scale area. Car protested has right to counter protest. Only top 5 and on the lead lap may protest.

18.4 Can OR Can’t rule: Do not try to read between the lines in the rule book. Just because the book doesn’t say you can’t, don’t assume you can. Any modifications not specifically outlined here are at the Tech Departments discretion. All final decisions will be made by the tech Officials. Ask first before you assume something is legal. Any violation of these rules will result in disqualification of the car and points for that night.
